Although the announcements weren’t as ”big” as the ones seen at the previous E3 (FFVII remake etc), nobody can deny that there were definitely a lot of great games on display this year.
Highlights for me were: Resident Evil 7, which you’ll be able to play from start to finish in full VR (grab the toilet roll), Forza Horizon 3, God of War, Crash Bandicoot, Death Stranding and also Mass effect.
PS+ Members can download the Resident Evil 7 teaser demo from the Playstation store right now.
If you don’t have PS+, I did record a quick 10 minute playthrough of it which you can watch below:
If you know me, you will know (or if you dont, your just about to find out) that I’m a big racing game fan (I currently have a Thrustmaster TX wheel with shifter T3PA pedals etc) so the announcement of Forza horizon 3 was massive for me. I treated myself to FH2 at Christmas and literally played through it from start to finish (including all the DLC), without playing any other game. I was proper hooked from start to finish. Forza Horizon 3 will be released on the 27th of September (23rd if you pre-order the ultimate edition), it will host 4 player co-op, more OTT showcase events, over 350 cars, custom radio soundtrack and much much more. Check out the trailer below:
Finally, it was great to hear the announcement of Crash Bandicoot coming to the PS4. Crash 1,2 and Warped all being fully built from the ground up for PS4, what a time to be alive. I frst completed the third one of the Ps1 and loved all the vehicles you could use, not to mention the apple launcher. Being able to play it on the PS4, and perhaps remote play on the go, will be something very special indeed. God of War also looked incredible as did Mass effect. With VR starting to kick off now, 2016 and beyond is going to be an amazing time to be a gamer.
Let me know in the comments or over on Twitter what your most looking forward to. Stay tuned for more.
